MECT runs free residential schools, village learning centres and scholarship programs for 3,300+ tribal children in South Gujarat, turning talent that poverty would have buried into doctors, engineers and changemakers.

Founded in 2003 by Shri Parimal Parmar, the Malvi Educational & Charitable Trust serves children from the five predominantly tribal districts of South Gujarat, a region where over 80% of rural families are small farmers or landless labourers, and early dropout is the norm, especially for girls.
Education and full residential care are provided free of cost. 98% of our students are tribal, 44% are orphans or from single-parent homes, and 60% are girls.
Prosperous Gujarat has one of the highest secondary-school dropout rates in India, and economically poor tribal children are the worst affected. Poor quality of education and no access to residential schooling in higher grades keep gifted children locked out of life-changing careers. MECT exists to break that cycle, systematically.
From foundational reading in remote villages to NEET coaching for future doctors, our projects meet a tribal child at every stage of the journey.
